Svitla Systems Inc. is looking for a Senior Back End Engineer for a full-time position (40 hours per week) in Argentina. Our client is an innovative San Francisco-based company that developed a software attack surface optimization platform to help organizations minimize cyber-attacks. The company’s platform reduces vulnerability and patch management backlog and prioritizes AI-powered risk management, enabling businesses to mitigate known and unknown vulnerabilities in workloads. This software attack surface optimization platform remediates 95% of software vulnerabilities in minutes without code changes. It reduces development costs and shortens release cycles while ensuring compliance with federal and industry regulations. The solution integrates seamlessly with existing workflows and technology stacks, making it a versatile option for various organizations. It is designed to work with open-source software, reducing the risks associated with software supply chains.
The ideal candidate will have a proven backend development, database management, and infrastructure support track record. You must be able to start ASAP and work PST or IST hours. Some flexibility is required when working with tight deadlines and constant changes (should be comfortable working with start-ups).

REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum of 6+ years (10+ ideally) of experience in software engineering or database administration.
• Strong knowledge of Python programming and REST API development.
• Strong knowledge of MySQL, including database design, query optimization, and administration.
• Solid experience working in Linux environments for application and database management.
• Hands-on experience in troubleshooting and managing high-availability systems.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Effective communication and collaboration abilities.
• Detail-oriented and self-motivated with a passion for technology.
• Strong team player who can work independently and receive feedback seriously with further adjustments as needed.

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and RESTful APIs using Python.
• Manage and optimize MySQL databases, ensuring high availability, performance, and security.
• Maintain and configure Linux systems to support application infrastructure and database services.
• Collaborate on containerization and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes, if applicable.
• Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks across applications and databases.
