What You Will do Design, build, and develop robust, scalable, and maintainable software applications, including both front-end and back-end components. Architect high-performance, optimized software and data solutions by participating in requirements reviews, system design, and technical implementation. Design, implement, and maintain cloud-based, scalable, and resilient data pipelines and applications to support analytics, reporting, AI, and machine learning initiatives. Leverage AWS services (such as EC2, Lambda, S3, RDS, Redshift, and others) to build, deploy, and manage applications and data solutions in a cloud environment. Evaluate the technical feasibility of proposed solutions, define implementation plans, identify risks, dependencies, and potential blockers, and propose mitigation strategies. Apply software engineering best practices throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including code reviews, version control, automated testing, and continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD). Collaborate with Data Science and Quality Assurance teams to design and implement automated testing frameworks, ensuring software quality, data integrity, and performance. Drive operational excellence by improving monitoring, alerting, logging, and observability of applications, services, and data pipelines. Promote the integration of new technologies including AI, ML, and cloud-native tools and continuously evaluate tools and frameworks that enhance the organization’s software and data engineering capabilities. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to identify and develop reusable components, shared frameworks, and standards that improve engineering productivity and consistency. Provide regular project status updates to engineering leadership and stakeholders, highlighting progress, risks, and dependencies. Contribute to documentation of architectures, applications, operational runbooks, and best practices to ensure long-term maintainability and knowledge sharing. What you’ll need: Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical field. At least four (4) years of professional experience in software engineering or a related field. Proficiency in React, Node.js, Python, and SQL. Strong problem-solving skills and excellent written and verbal communication abilities. Experience with unit testing, code reviews, and adherence to software engineering best practices. Hands-on experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments. Nice to Have Experience with AWS services such as EMR, Glue, and Step Functions. Familiarity with cloud-based data engineering solutions and big data processing. Exposure to AI/ML workflows or supporting data science teams. Don’t meet every single requirement?
