What You’ll Do:
As a motivated Software Engineer in Sales Compensation Technology, you’ll be part of an agile, product driven engineering culture and will be an active team member of a highly functioning software engineering team that is growing and sharing the principles behind our desired culture. Sales Compensation Technology is a maturing environment where technology professionals are not content with a dogmatic answer of, “That’s just how we do it here”. All our engineers must know why we continually invest time and energy into changing how we work to advance our application portfolio through modernization and our cloud acceleration program.

SOME SKILLS THAT WILL HELP YOU STAND OUT:

  • IBM Developer for Z/oS (IDZ)
  • Exposure or familiarity with Github, Insomnia
  • Exposure to CI/CD pipelines, automation, and DevOps methodologies.
  • Background in financial services, insurance, or other regulated industries.
    Salary Range Information: Salary ranges below reflect targeted base salaries. Non-sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance. Actual compensation for all roles will be based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer. Salary Range: $100800 - $182400 / year Time Off Program: Flexible Time Off (FTO) is provided to salaried (exempt) employees and provides the opportunity to take time away from the office with pay for vacation, personal or short-term illness. Responsibilities
  • Lead the translation of existing legacy COBOL-based processes into scalable, distributed solutions.
  • Conduct process and lifecycle analysis to improve system efficiency and reduce risk.
  • Partner with engineering, operations, and business teams to drive modernization initiatives.
  • Mentor and upskill engineers, fostering a culture of learning and continuous improvement.
  • Perform risk analysis and mitigation planning to ensure the security and reliability of modernized solutions.

Who You Are:

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree (preference in a computer science, technology, engineering or math-related field or equivalent experience) and 6+ years’ work experience or equivalent experience.
  • Strong COBOL expertise and experience working with mainframe systems is required.
  • Experience in mainframe platforms (e.g., IBM Z/OS, CICS, JCL, DB2, TSO, VSAM) is required.
  • Deep understanding of software development lifecycles, process optimization, and risk analysis.
  • A modernization mindset, with the ability to assess legacy systems and design forward-looking solutions.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze, diagnose, and resolve complex system issues.
  • Ability to influence technical and strategic decisions with solid rationale.
