IT@JH Office of the Deputy CIO is seeking a Sr. Software Engineer who will focus efforts on enterprise portal related projects, supporting faculty, staff, students, and administrative departments across the organization. This role involves developing and maintaining web-based applications using the Technology Acceleration Group’s (TAG) preferred technology stack (Angular/Spring Boot) while also maintaining legacy applications built with .NET and/or Grail’s frameworks. The position follows agile development methodologies and adheres to department-defined continuous integration protocols for application documentation, testing, and deployment. Work assignments are both project-based for new development initiatives and ticket-based for maintenance and support activities. The Sr. Software Engineer operates with significant independence while collaborating with cross-functional teams, managing multiple complex projects simultaneously, and providing technical leadership to junior developers. This role requires expertise in full-stack development, database management, and the ability to translate complex business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
