Description
  • Design, implement, test, debug and document integrated solutions and enhance existing components for Design, develop, and test software for class I, II and III medical devices. You will ensure that software meets the business needs, while in compliance with applicable regulations and processes.
  • Contribute to the design and architecture to enable secure, scalable, and maintainable software and clearly articulate the implications of design/architectural decisions, issues and plans to technology leadership.
  • Develop reusable patterns and encourage innovation that will increase team velocity.
  • Demonstrate ownership of software features and drive development of the features through SDLC.
  • Conduct design and code reviews to ensure code developed meets or exceeds coding best practices guidelines, unit testing, security, and scalability and maintainability guidelines.
  • Contribute and apply advanced technical principles, theories, and concepts to solve complex technical problems.
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives for the software team. This includes recognizing areas for improvement as well as working with others to develop and document process improvements.
  • Collaborate on the design with other team members and product owners, both inside and outside of the team and with internal and external partners located across various geographies.


Key Skills & Experience


Must Have: Minimum Requirements


  • Bachelor’s degree (Level 8 NFQ) in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science or related technical discipline with a minimum of 4+ years of relevant experience.
  • Hands-on engineering experience of embedded software design, development, debugging, and testing.
  • Proven Proficiency in using C programming to develop multi-threaded embedded software applications with both asynchronous and synchronous code
  • Experience working with real-time operating systems (RTOS) and using embedded debugging tools such as JTAG debuggers etc
  • A collaborative mindset. You are energized by fast-paced environments, proactive communication, and working closely with cross-functional teams.
  • A track record of ownership. You have consistently shipped impactful features.
  • Demonstrated experience owning your work and getting stuff done.
