About this role: Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Software Engineer.We’re looking for a hands-on Full‑Stack .NET engineer who can build secure, scalable web applications and deliver AI‑enabled features end‑to‑end. You’ll own services built on ASP.NET Core and modern front‑ends (React/Angular/Blazor), integrate LLM- and ML-powered capabilities (e.g., RAG search, intelligent assistants, document understanding), and productionize them with strong observability, CI/CD, and governance. You’ll collaborate with Product, Design, Data/ML, and Security to define solutions, ship iteratively, and measure impact. In this role, you will: Lead moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within technical domain environments Contribute to large scale planning of strategies Design, code, test, debug, and document for projects and programs associated with technology domain, including upgrades and deployments Review moderately complex technical challenges that require an in-depth evaluation of technologies and procedures Resolve moderately complex issues and lead a team to meet existing client needs or potential new clients needs while leveraging solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures, or compliance requirements Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and mid-level managers to resolve technical challenges and achieve goals Lead projects and act as an escalation point, provide guidance and direction to less experienced staff. Key Responsibilities-Product & Delivery Partner with product managers and UX to translate requirements into technical designs and working software. Own features across the stack: backend APIs, data models, UI, AI integrations, and DevOps automation. Ship in small, testable increments using trunk-based development or short-lived feature branches. Backend (.NET) Build ASP.NET Core REST/gRPC services, implement domain logic, and enforce clean architecture (DDD where helpful). Data access with EF Core, SQL Server (or PostgreSQL), and optional Cosmos DB; optimize queries and caching (e.g., Redis). Implement background jobs (e.g., Hangfire, Azure Functions, Queues), resilient patterns (retries, circuit breakers), and secure auth (OpenID Connect/OAuth 2.0, Azure AD/Entra). Frontend-Develop responsive, accessible UIs with React (TypeScript), Angular, or Blazor. Integrate real-time interactions (SignalR/WebSockets), state management, and robust form/data handling. Implement UX for AI features (e.g., chat UI, citation panels, feedback loops, content safety prompts). AI/ML Integration Design and implement AI use cases such as: RAG (Retrieval‑Augmented Generation) with vector search (e.g., Azure AI Search, Qdrant, Pinecone, PostgreSQL pgvector). Document intelligence (ingestion, chunking, metadata extraction, OCR with Azure AI Document Intelligence/Form Recognizer or Tesseract). Chatbots/assistants using Azure OpenAI/OpenAI, Semantic Kernel, or LangChain for orchestration. Classification/extraction/summarization workflows with prompt engineering and evaluation. Containerize with Docker; deploy to Azure App Service/AKS/Azure Functions (or equivalent cloud). CI/CD with Azure DevOps/GitHub Actions; environment promotion, infra as code (Bicep/Terraform). Observability with Application Insights, distributed tracing, actionable dashboards, and SLOs. Quality, Security & Compliance-Write unit/integration tests (xUnit/NUnit), contract tests, and UI tests (Playwright/Cypress). Ensure secure coding (OWASP Top 10), secrets management (Key Vault), data privacy, and compliance (logging/retention, audit). Participate in code reviews, design reviews, and incident postmortems. Required Qualifications: 4+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education Desired Qualifications: 3–8+ years of professional experience (adjust for level) building production web apps/services. Strong in C#, .NET 6/7/8, ASP.NET Core, EF Core, and RESTful API design. Frontend experience with React (TypeScript) or Angular (or Blazor), including build tooling.
