    Role Summary
    We are seeking an Infrastructure Sr. Software Engineer with 5 years of experience to play a crucial role in building, maintaining, and automating our infrastructure and deployment pipelines for our vehicle access solutions. This role demands a strong understanding of both software development and cloud engineering principles, with a focus on automation, reliability, and security. The ideal candidate will be proficient in both coding and infrastructure development for our Vehicle Access Cloud platform, including testing and validation, and will be passionate about delivering high-quality, scalable solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP) using IaC (Terraform, CloudFormation).
  • Develop and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines GitLab CI.
  • Deploy and manage containerized applications (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Implement monitoring and logging solutions (Prometheus, ELK, Datadog).
  • Enforce security best practices and automate deployment, configuration, and maintenance.
  • Develop automated tests and resolve complex infrastructure/application issues.
  • Work with teams, and create comprehensive documentation.
  • Understand and contribute to infrastructure requirements for vehicle access, including security and reliability.
  • Define and execute end to end tests for applicable features.
  • Define KPIs and performance metrics at module and system level
  • Develop and execute automated tests across multiple Vehicle platforms
  • Manage test schedule of multiple automated vehicle test setups for efficient utilization of test resources

Qualifications

  • BS/MS in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
  • 5 years of DevOps experience
  • Proficient in scripting (Python, Bash, Go).
  • Expertise in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and CI/CD.
  • Experience with IaC (Terraform, CloudFormation), networking, load balancing (Nginx, API Gateways), and automated testing.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and automation skills.
  • Knowledge of security best practices.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Vehicle access technology experience.
  • Security protocol (OAuth, mTLS) knowledge.
  • Microservices scaling experience.
  • Cloud/DevOps certifications.
  • Automotive industry experience.

Pay Disclosure
Salary Range/Hourly Rate for California Based Applicants: $146,900 - $183,600 USD (actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law).
Benefits Summary: Rivian and Volkswagen Group Technologies provides robust medical/Rx, dental and vision insurance packages for full-time and part-time employees, their spouse or domestic partner, and children up to age 26. Full Time Employee coverage is effective on the first day of employment. Part-Time employee coverage is effective the first of the month following 90 days of employment.
