The Senior Specialist, Corporate Securities is responsible for managing and supporting the Petco’s corporate securities activities, including equity administration, regulatory filings, compliance, and governance-related matters. This role ensures accurate recordkeeping, adherence to securities laws, and effective coordination with internal teams and external stakeholders. Key Responsibilities Manage corporate securities administration, including equity plans, share issuances, transfers, and cancellations Maintain accurate capitalization tables and securities records Prepare, review, and file required regulatory and securities filings (e.g., SEC filings, stock exchange disclosures, or equivalent jurisdictional requirements) Ensure compliance with applicable securities laws, regulations, and corporate governance standards Support corporate transactions such as mergers, acquisitions, financings, reorganizations, and restructurings Coordinate with legal counsel, transfer agents, auditors, regulators, and financial institutions Advise internal stakeholders on securities-related policies, procedures, and best practices Monitor changes in securities regulations and assess impact on the organization Assist with board, shareholder, and committee matters related to equity and securities Provide training and guidance to junior staff or cross-functional teams as needed Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Law, Finance, Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field 5+ years of experience in corporate securities, corporate governance, legal, or compliance roles Strong knowledge of securities laws, regulatory frameworks, and equity administration Experience with capitalization table management and equity management platforms High attention to detail with strong analytical and organizational skills Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment Excellent written and verbal communication skills Preferred Qualifications Professional certification (e.g., corporate governance, securities, or compliance-related credential) Experience in publicly listed or highly regulated organizations Familiarity with international securities regulations (if applicable) Key Competencies Regulatory compliance Corporate governance Risk management Stakeholder coordination Discretion and confidentiality Problem-solving and independent judgment #LI-MK1 #CORP Qualified applications with arrest or conviction records will be considered for employment in accordance with the Los Angeles County Fair Chance Ordinance for Employers and the California Fair Chance Act.
