Job Location: Hershey, PA, Open to Remote  Location/Travel:  Extensive Travel (75–80%)  The Senior Specialist, Engineering supports the onsite execution of capital projects in manufacturing environments. This role works closely with engineering, operations, and contractor teams to ensure equipment and systems are installed safely, meet quality standards, and are ready for commissioning and startup.  This position is ideal for an experienced engineering professional who enjoys hands-on field work, problem-solving, and collaborating across teams in fast-paced environments.  What You'll Do  Support installation, commissioning, and startup of capital equipment and systems  Coordinate contractor and supplier activities onsite  Maintain consistent presence on the manufacturing floor or construction job site  Assess installation quality and mechanical readiness  Serve as a liaison between engineering, plant teams, and contractors  Promote strong safety, GMP, and food safety practices    What You Bring  Experience supporting onsite execution of capital projects in manufacturing or industrial environments  Several years of relevant handson experience in manufacturing, maintenance, utilities, or capital project execution roles  Strong mechanical aptitude and practical field execution capability  Formal Education in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or a closely-related technical discipline is beneficial when paired with relevant field experience  Good to Know  This is an individual contributor role  No direct people management or project management responsibility  This role is highly collaborative and requires frequent interaction with cross‑functional teams, contractors, and plant stakeholders.  Travel & Work Conditions  Extensive travel required (approximately 75–80%) during execution and commissioning phases  Off-shift and weekend work required to support on-site execution, commissioning, and startup activities  Sustained direct engagement on the manufacturing floor or other active field construction locations    The Hershey Company is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
