Description
We are looking for a an experienced People Business Partner to support the People and Culture strategy at Columbus India. With 200+ employees and an HR team of currently 4 employees, you will play an important role in shaping our local People agenda, while also contributing to global HR initiatives. In this role, you will report directly to the People Director, India. Your key responsibility is to manage employee relations, drive engagement agenda and support people processes. Our global people strategy emphasizes the transition of Columbus into a Consultancy operating model, with emphasis on people development and learning, business partnering, a strong employee value proposition, grounded in a global scalable HR operating model. Core Responsibilities You will act as a trusted people partner for employees and managers. You will also support People Director to deliver best in class people experience while executing India People strategy. · Partner with business leaders as a trusted advisor, offering guidance on People processes and key People decisions. · Implement global People processes and frameworks locally, ensuring consistency and alignment with global standards. · Manage end‑to‑end employee relations matters, ensuring fair outcomes and full compliance with Indian labor laws. · Drive the people engagement agenda to deliver wow moments for the employees that they cherish while working with Columbus · Support performance management, succession planning, and talent development processes to build a high‑performing workforce. · Collaborate with Talent Acquisition to ensure high‑quality hiring, selection, and onboarding of key talent. · Strengthen People Operations by collaborating with People Operations to ensure accurate HR documentation, timely process execution, and adherence to policies across the employee lifecycle. · Champion a positive, inclusive, and engaging culture through proactive HR interventions and leadership support. Professional Qualifications and Experience The successful candidate come with a master’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or a related field combined with a minimum of 6+ years of local HR business partner experience. This includes: Experience from a Global Matrix organization preferably within IT service & technology Solid, working knowledge of HR policies, procedures and local legislation related to employment practices and general HR administration Deep experience within minimum two areas and solid knowledge of other areas within Employee relations and engagement, HR compliance & law, and Talent Development Possess strong analytic, organizational diagnostic skills with a data driven decision mindset Fluency in English, both written and spoken To succeed in the role, you have excellent communication skills and the ability to build trust among different stakeholders on various levels of seniority, employees and collaborators. You are a self-starter, able to navigate different priorities, manage your agenda and effectively plan, prioritize and execute.
