Description

Purpose
The Sr. Specialist will provide leadership for the local customs organization while ensuring all the requirements for our customers are met, as well as managing a network of service providers, including freight forwarders, trucking companies, customs brokerage, and representatives. He/She/Them will manage, plan, and oversee last-mile delivery from the port to adidas DC’s premises, taking into consideration DC’s capacity.

Key tasks

  • Oversee and track the follow-up of container planning for the DC inbound process, ensuring that SAP information and dates are current, and that documentation is readily accessible.
  • Ensure the implementation of the inbound plan and inform the DC of any risks or changes to enable timely actions to mitigate impacts.
  • Act on behalf of the company in dealings with customs authorities, third-party logistics providers, and transportation firms as needed, and communicate any requirements or issues that need to be addressed.
  • Collaborate with AM on campaigns and articles to meet customer needs.
  • Request to AM for early shipments or to delay them in order to reduce any risks associated with the DC capacity.
  • Ensure ILA WFM Tickets are raised and answered on a timely manner.
  • Oversee E2E local labeling process.
  • Reconcile actual figures with forecasted budgets, monitor sea freight and air freight tariffs, as well as budget and expenses.
  • Oversee the information for tender procedures.
  • Determine the freight assumptions for each season by analyzing the volumes/origins and tender tariffs to provide a report to the Global lifecycle team and local MOPS.
  • Oversee FIP invoices approvals & payments with global and local finance team.
  • Supervise HTS Code classification update.
  • Act as point of contact for Global Customs inquiries and report back import and duties expenditure.
  • Assist and/or present on FLM, SMAL, MBR, & customs-related meetings for market update.
  • Follow up ex-factory date of goods to ensure on-time arrival and monitor ETAs to report any variance to Inbound HUB.
  • Gather and review the necessary import requirements to avoid any delays on the custom process, according to legal requirements for our customers in each country.
  • Analyse the transit time report for all origins to keep updated the standard planning calculations and report any variance to the Inbound HUB team.
  • To set clear guidelines and objectives to be accomplished by the Customs & Transportation team and to ensure the development of the team members
  • Lead the GPS customer creation and SI details for all the logistics models
  • Guarantee the implementation of the Logistics Models in accordance with the agreements made with our clients.
  • Active participation and communication with the 3PL and inbound HUB to guarantee a right execution.
  • Report any issues related to consolidation, full containers, LCL, and airfreight to the Inbound HUB.
