SUMMARY: The Sr. Staff Accountant will be responsible for overseeing various financial activities, including financial reporting, budgeting, reconciliations, and analysis. This role will utilize strong accounting knowledge and effective problem solving to ensure success.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s degree
5+ years of relevant/technical work experience
or an additional 3 years specific work experience in lieu of degree.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and regulations.
Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks).
Advanced MS Excel skills and experience with financial modeling and analysis.
Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to adapt to fast-paced environment and changing business priorities.
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:
Master’s degree in Accounting
9+ years relevant work experience
Sarbanes Oxley experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
Execute and perform journal entries and account reconciliations for one or more business units.
Oversee and ensure proper Fixed Asset management.
Assist auditors during annual audits with a strong emphasis on SOX compliance.
Perform month-end and year-end close practices.
Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual flux analysis of financial statements.
Maintain files and documentation thoroughly and accurately, in accordance with company policy and accepted accounting practices.
Collaborate with department heads to develop and monitordepartmental expenses.
Support, monitor and implement cycle count processes for all Segment within Aviation to ensure inventory levels reflect the operations. Draft inventory reports that document inventory counts, discrepancies, and other statistical data.
Track daily inventory adjustment to identify opportunities in the inventory process.
Research and perform any necessary stock adjustments.
Reconcile inventory against our ERP system and perform root cause analysis to correct any discrepancies.
Identify opportunities for cost-saving initiatives and financial optimization.
Maintain the general ledger and ensure accuraterecording of financial transactions by reviewing daily subledger batches.
Perform bank reconciliations, account reconciliations, and variance analysis.
Investigate and resolve discrepancies or issues in a timely manner.
Other duties as assigned.
