Description
Design, configure, administer, and support multiple database platforms: Oracle (including EBS R12) Expert on Oracle EBS database performance tuning, operation, monitoring, compiling packages, executing and authoring scripts. Expert on managing Oracle EBS application tier, such as troubleshooting long running concurrent manager jobs, configure Oracle EBS printer on Apps and OS side, troubleshooting workflow mailer, restarting oacore due to stuck thread. Expert knowledge to manage and support Oracle EBS database components, including database refresh/cloning, patch application, workflow management, and concurrent processing. Expert knowledge on troubleshooting functional Issues on EBS applications - assisting users with functional problems and providing solutions. Ensure database performance, availability, and scalability through proactive monitoring and tuning. Automate tasks and create scripts for database health monitoring and issue resolution. Implement robust backup and disaster recovery solutions using tools like RMAN, DataGuard, DataDog, Rubrik, Solarwinds, SQL Server Maintenance Plans, etc. Support and maintain high availability, replication, and failover configurations across platforms. Collaborate with Development and DevOps teams for database design, deployment, and performance optimization. Enforce data governance, security, user management, and compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. Document procedures, configurations, and change logs thoroughly and accurately. Provide 24x7 support for critical systems and participate in on-call rotations. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience). Oracle Database (including RAC, ASM, Data Guard) Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) database administration Strong SQL and PL/SQL scripting skills. Deep understanding of database architecture, indexing, partitioning, and query optimization. Familiarity with data security standards (encryption, auditing, access controls) Microsoft SQL Server MariaDB / MySQL PostgreSQL MongoDB (including sharding, replica sets, performance tuning) DBA certifications (e.g., Oracle OCP, MongoDB DBA, Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator). Experience with database monitoring and diagnostic tools (OEM, pgAdmin, SQL Profiler, MongoDB Compass, etc.). Experience with cloud database deployments (AWS RDS, Azure SQL, GCP, etc.). Experience with containerized database environments (Docker, Kubernetes). Familiarity with CI/CD and Infrastructure-as-Code (e.g., Ansible, Terraform). Experience in supporting other enterprise apps like Oracle BI, Hyperion, or SAP is a plus. Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities. Excellent communication and documentation skills. Ability to work independently and lead complex database projects. Strong organizational and prioritization skills under tight deadlines. Typically requires a minimum of 13+ years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree; or 6+ years and a Master's degree.
