SENIOR SUPPLIER RELATIONS PROGRAM MANAGER

The Senior Supplier Relations Program Manager plays a crucial role in managing supplier performance and risk governance within Comerica’s Supplier Performance Management team. This role is designed to bridge the gap between tactical execution and strategic oversight, balancing operational implementation with process improvement and risk compliance. The individual will drive business value through structured supplier engagements, performance measurement, issue resolution, and program-level optimization.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university
  • 7-9 years of experience in Supplier management, risk governance, or procurement
  • 3 years of experience in Supplier risk or compliance oversight
  • 3 years of experience in data analytics performance tracking, or reporting
  • Experience with supplier management systems is preferred
  • Prior experience working with senior leadership for both company and suppliers
    WORK BEST CATEGORY:Category C - Days in the office will either be designated days or will vary week to week from 2-5 days
    HOURS:8:00am - 5:00pm Monday - Friday

Responsibilities
  • Support the execution of Comerica’s risk and supplier performance management framework, ensuring adherence to governance policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Drive structured supplier engagement by leading key business review meetings (QBRs), fostering transparent and action-oriented discussions with suppliers, and ensuring supplier interactions are meaningful, performance gaps are addressed, and relationships are continuously strengthened.
  • Lead collaboration across internal partners (Third-Party Risk, Compliance, Legal, and Procurement) to promote supplier accountability and ensure supplier governance aligns with regulatory requirements.
  • Assist in supplier risk assessments, compliance reporting, and control enforcement; Collaborate with Third-Party Risk, Compliance, Legal, and Procurement teams to ensure supplier governance aligns with regulatory expectations.
  • Develop and manage supplier performance scorecards, dashboards, and key performance indicators (KPIs); Identify performance trends, flag potential risks, and recommend corrective actions based on data analysis
  • Optimize internal tools and data management processes, contributing to the standardization and improvement of supplier performance workflows and reporting capabilities.
  • Provide training and guidance to internal stakeholders and business partners to enhance adoption of supplier performance practices and promote continuous improvement.
  • Support policy and procedure development related to supplier risk and performance and help align stakeholders around updates and regulatory expectations.
  • This is a highly visible role requiring strong cross-functional leadership and the ability to influence outcomes across diverse stakeholder groups.
