The Opportunity: This position is for a technical resource with solid development experience who will focus on creating new capabilities for Risk Platform - Visa Risk Manager team while maturing our code base and development processes. We are looking for Versatile, curious, and energetic Software Engineers who embrace solving complex challenges on a global scale. As a Visa Software Engineer, you will be an integral part of a multi-functional development team inventing, designing, building, and testing software products that reach a truly global customer base. While building components of powerful payment technology, you will get to see your efforts shaping the digital future of monetary transactions. The Work itself: Collaborate with project team members (Product Managers, Architects, Analysts, Software Engineers, Project Managers, etc.) to ensure development and implementation of new data driven business solutions. Drive development effort End-to-End for on-time delivery of high quality solutions that conform to requirements, conform to the architectural vision, and comply with all applicable standards. Responsibilities span all phases of solution development including: Collaborate with senior technical staff and PM to identify, document, plan contingency, track and manage risks and issues until all are resolved Present technical solutions, capabilities, considerations, and features in business terms. Effectively communicate status, issues, and risks in a precise and timely manner. Coach & mentor junior engineers in the team and contingent staff in Development best practices. Responsible for driving large to medium-sized feature projects and technology initiatives in terms of tech specs, design, architecture, and deployment. End to end execution of components being added to platform and scoping out features Essential Functions: Demonstrates relevant technical working knowledge to understand requirements. Identifies and contributes to the development and solution strategies to team members that improve the design and functionality of interface features across one or more project features, under minimal guidance. Applies standard processes on the use of programming languages (e.g. HTML, C++, Java) to write code that fulfills website modification requests and technical requirements. Collaborates with others to support the piloting of new technology capabilities and features that enhance the user website experience across e-commerce products. Analyzes bugs for simple issues and applies debugging tools to verify assumptions. This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.
