Job Title Sr. System Engineer FEI Job Description Your Role: You will be a member of the PIC FEI Team and determines, in consultation with the Management Team, the department’s objectives, policies, processes and budgets on short and long term, makes sure that the organization can meet the objectives and ensures that the roles and responsibilities are put in place. You will also be responsible for the product definition, realization, and aftercare of innovative products cross G&B organization . This Roles as follows: Develop innovation solution for all G&B categories with competences and knowledge to introduce new technology. Ensures that there are adequate resources and tools at the proper time, is responsible for the technology and architecture in the department Responsible for maintaining and improving the PIC FEI knowledge and expertise. Leading the generation of product concepts and showing the technical feasibility. Architecture development for consumer life products, which includes: Requirements management, Technical documentation preparation, Defining and realizing modelling and test set ups, Technical leadership of teams working on product development Development of platform architectures for G&B products that can be re-used Lead benchmarking activities of competitor products Scout for new components, technology, suppliers for better quality, lower cost and new features and bring to Philips Air Category Manage suppliers to develop new products Support marketing claim development with technical story/ foundation Generation and filing of Intellectual Property (IP) Education and Skills: Master’s degree (or above) in Engineering or Physics Have minimum 10 years of experience in the field of technical product development Have minimum 3 years of experience in the field of technical team management Excellent communication skills at all levels (fluent in English) Have excellent modelling experience: Mechanical/Electrical CAD, Mechanisms, FEA, Fluid Mechanics, Thermal, or other Have Experience with Design for Six Sigma Preferred past experience in Domestic Appliances development · Competencies: Demonstrating business acumen; Driving of divergence, convergence and consolidation Stakeholder management; Analytical skills; Architectural thinking and creation; Switching from helicopter to detailed view; Documenting/modeling of the architecture. Influencing skills; Team player; Networking skills; Negotiation skills. Managing uncertainties Has an in-depth understanding of the technologies involved Has an in-depth understanding of the product creation process and design methods, such as modelling Participates in talks with representatives of commercial departments and some other stakeholders Willing to travel How we work together We believe that we are better together than apart.
