SR. SYSTEMS ENGINEER – AMP PLATFORM LEAD (U.K.)

Location: United Kingdom (Remote/Hybrid)
Department: Technology / Engineering
Reports To: Director of AMP Systems Engineering in U.S.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 4–6 years in systems engineering, IT operations, or digital signage deployment.
  • Experience managing multi-site digital signage platforms (AMP, Scala, Broadsign, BrightSign).
  • Proficiency in:
  • Linux and Windows environments
  • Networking (TCP/IP, VPN, firewalls, proxies)
  • Media player hardware, displays, and interactive tech
  • Familiarity with integrations, APIs, and basic scripting (Bash, PowerShell, Python).
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent communication skills with technical and non-technical audiences.

PREFERRED SKILLS

  • Background in retail tech or QSR environments.
  • Knowledge of digital media formats, content delivery workflows, and analytics.
  • Experience with cloud platforms or virtualized systems.
  • Familiarity with audience measurement or sensors (e.g., Walkbase).

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking a skilled Systems Engineer to lead the implementation, maintenance, and performance of STRATACACHE’s AMP (ActiVia Media Platform) across our U.K. retail customer base. This critical role blends hands-on technical work with platform ownership, ensuring AMP meets SLAs, scales effectively to support current and future deployments, and performs reliably.
You will manage system integration, operations, and upgrades, and act as the key technical contact for both internal teams and customer stakeholders.
