Description
Support the integration efforts of the battery management system into multiple vehicle lines. Support in the validation of software algorithms at the pack level and develop new functionality that will enhance the experience of the battery system and operator. Participate in functional safety and failure avoidance analysis of complex electrical and software vehicle subsystems (HARA, FMEAs, etc.). Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to establish architecture content and maintain hardware block diagrams with all types of interactions captured and defined. Develop and own the battery system related requirements and work with the hardware, software, architecture, safety and other cross-functional teams to implement and verify requirements. Support homologation efforts and ensure compliance with regional regulatory requirements for the battery system. Support bring-up of vehicles and battery system activities on all development and vehicle builds and become the point person for the program. Support the development and validation of BMS algorithms to ensure highest quality and accuracy for our worldwide customers. Established and active employee resource groups B.S. in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Mechatronics Engineering Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements, especially for electric vehicles Knowledge of regulatory requirements for battery safety in global markets. Strong written and verbal communication skills An eagerness to work cross-functionally in a dynamic environment where you are part of a high performing team Experience in leading product development from concept to deployment A systems approach to design and development with the desire and curiosity to strive for exceptional delivery execution and continuous improvement Knowledge of regulatory requirements for electric vehicle charging in global markets.
