JOB SUMMARY:
Lead a team of engineering resources dedicated to Vision & Driver Assistance to deliver leading edge technology and innovation to Stoneridge Inc. customers. Responsible for the full lifecycle of (a portfolio) of systems. Lead the (multidisciplinary) group of engineers within the product portfolio.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE:
- Bachelor’s or masters degree with course of study in Engineering required.
- At least ten (10) years Engineering work experience in the automotive industry as a Tier 1 supplier.
- Direct experience with design, development, and OEM acceptance of Vision and Driver Assistance products or comparable.
- Experience leading engineering teams in globally matrixed work environment.
- Experience with electronic controls products; ADAS, Driver Information Systems (DIS), telematics, and / or connectivity, preferred
- Demonstrated experience with safety products and functional safety (ISO26262). Knowledge of SOTIF (ISO21448) is preferred.
- Demonstrated experience in design, development and launch of new products with best-in-class engineering process and practices including ASPICE, APQP, disciplined problem solving, lean engineering, Six Sigma and value analysis / value added engineering (VAVE)
- Experience with development and deployment digital engineering methods, preferred.
- Demonstrated success establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with customers
- Excellent communication skills to interface with customers at a senior level to discuss complex issues including field performance, engineering processes and other automotive industry demands
- Strong background in product reliability and warranty issues. Strong problem solver.
- Excellent business sense and judgment by driving decisions that create organizational value and not solely engineering design
- Six Sigma and/or Shainin certification highly preferred
- Up to 20% travel, includes domestic and international travel
