POSITION SUMMARY

We’re looking for an experienced, dynamic professional to join the team and lead impactful training initiatives. This role is a chance to be at the forefront of innovation in Data Center AI cooling while shaping the knowledge and skills of the industries top talent.
The High-Density Cooling Sr. Technical Trainer at Vertiv will be responsible for designing, delivering, and evaluating technical training programs focused on Vertiv’s high-density cooling solutions for data centers. This role is essential to ensuring internal & external associates possess a deep understanding of Vertiv’s advanced cooling technologies, design philosophy, specification & sizing processes, installation processes, maintenance practices, and troubleshooting techniques for high-performance cooling products like coolant distribution units, rack & row manifolds, heat exchangers, and secondary fluid networks.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related technical field. Extensive technical experience (10+ years) in Thermal / Mechanical Systems acceptable.
  • 3+ years’ experience in technical training, preferably in the cooling or HVAC industry.
  • Proficiency in high-density cooling systems and technologies, with knowledge of liquid and air-cooling methods.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with experience in instructional design and training delivery.Familiarity with AR/VR tools to delivery hands on experiences remotely.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and Implement Training Programs: Design and conduct interactive training sessions on high-density cooling systems, addressing product installation, configuration, performance optimization, and maintenance.
  • Technical Expertise: Serve as a subject matter expert on Vertiv’s high-density cooling portfolio, continuously updating training content to reflect technological advancements and best practices in data center cooling.
  • Training Materials: Create comprehensive training documentation, instructional guides, multimedia presentations, and hands-on training exercises tailored to different learning preferences.
  • Evaluation and Feedback: Assess training program effectiveness through participant feedback, knowledge assessments, and performance outcomes, making improvements as needed.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and technical support teams to align training with product specifications, updates, and customer needs.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Build and maintain strong working relationships with sales, service, solutions, offering, applications, and engineering teams to ensure alignment in training content, effectively address specific team needs, and support customer satisfaction goals.
  • Safety and Compliance: Ensure all training programs emphasize safety best practices, proper use of PPE, and adherence to Vertiv’s safety protocols and industry standards. Demonstrate safe handling of high-density cooling equipment and educate participants on risk mitigation to foster a culture of safety within all training sessions.
  • Global Team Collaboration: Coordinate with Vertiv’s regional teams across different geographies to tailor training programs that address specific technical requirements, compliance standards, and cultural nuances. Facilitate consistent knowledge-sharing across regions and adapt training content to meet the needs of diverse international audiences.
  • AR/VR Training Integration: Leverage augmented and virtual reality (AR/VR) technologies to create immersive, interactive training modules that enhance understanding of complex high-density cooling systems.
