Title: Sr. Technical Professional Division: KBR Sustainable Technology Solutions (STS) provides holistic and value-added solutions across the entire asset life cycle. These include world-class licensed process technologies, differentiated advisory services, deep technical domain expertise, energy transition solutions, high-end design capabilities, and smart solutions to optimize planned and operating assets. Summary Section: As part of the electrical engineering team you will be involved in the design of electrical systems for the oil and gas and/or power including renewable energies industries. This may be a conceptual study or front-end engineering design (FEED) or a design execution involving, the procurement of all equipment and detailed drawings for the construction and commissioning of an entire facility. Responsibilities: ▪ Involved in projects from concept to detailed design through construction, testing and handover. ▪ Working in a multi-disciplinary project team, which is likely to include engineers from other specialisms including mechanical, structural, civil and instrumentation. liaising with clients and contractors. ▪ Taking a leading role in the design of electrical system to required specifications, focusing on cost, schedule, safety, reliability, and quality. ▪ Select and apply the relevant codes and standards applicable to the design of electrical systems. ▪ Designing systems and electrical equipment’s for example, HV and LV switchgear, transformers, UPS systems and variable speed drives. ▪ Creating and interpreting and checking philosophies, design specifications, data sheets, schematics and layout drawings for oil and gas onshore and offshore installations. ▪ Estimating and planning man hours for scopes of work. ▪ Creating suitable engineering solutions for extreme environments such temp from minus fifty degrees to fifty plus degrees. ▪ Chairing meetings, writing reports and giving presentations. ▪ Preparation of electrical equipment technical specifications, design basis, and data sheets, etc ▪ Preparation of design calculations for transformer, switchgear, emergency diesel generator (EDG), battery, uninterruptible power supply (UPS), lighting, earthing, and lightning protection, etc ▪ More knowledge is required for the single-line diagram, protection and metering drawings, schematic diagrams, etc. ▪ More knowledge is required for the preparation load list, cable schedule, interconnection schedule, etc ▪ All plant layouts including substation equipment layout ▪ Vendor drawing review of electrical equipment. Qualifications including Required Education, Experience, & Skills: ▪ Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering with 10 to 20 years of experience ▪ Proficient in electrical engineering software’s (ETAP / SKM / lighting Agi32 / Aveva Electrical Engineering / SPEL) is required. ▪ Excellent communication, and interpersonal skills. ▪ Experience in the fields of Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, refinery, Offshore and Utilities & Offsites related to industry.
