PLEASE REVIEW THE FOLLOWING JOB DESCRIPTION:

Sr. Technical Delivery Manager will lead end-to-end execution of highly complex, high-impact, large cross-functional enterprise initiatives within the Platform Services organization. This is a highly senior individual contributor role for someone who thrives in complex, technical environments and excels at translating strategic goals into coordinated, on-time delivery.
The Sr. Technical Delivery Manager will operate as the execution backbone for large platform initiatives—driving alignment across engineering, product, security, infrastructure, and compliance stakeholders. You will be responsible for managing technical delivery plans and capability roadmaps, surfacing risks early, resolving cross-team blockers, and ensuring accountability from idea through implementation.
This role requires a strong understanding of modern engineering practices, including cloud-native architectures, DevOps pipelines, automation platforms, and infrastructure delivery. The ideal candidate will not only manage timelines and milestones but also understand the technical context behind them, facilitating informed decisions, prioritization trade-offs, and progress with urgency and clarity.
Will work across multiple domains, including compute platforms, container orchestration, API gateways, CI/CD, secrets management, observability, and compliance tooling. Your ability to connect technical dependencies, manage ambiguity, and drive clear communications will be critical to ensuring enterprise platform services are delivered predictably, securely, and at scale.
This is a high-trust, high-autonomy role for a delivery leader who doesn’t need positional authority to influence outcomes, and who brings equal comfort working with engineers, architects, product managers, and senior executives.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience
  2. Ten years progressive related experience in either a consulting, project management or process improvement related role
  3. Strong skills and experience in issue resolution, influencing team members and other stakeholders, conducting difficult negotiations and managing to stringent timelines for project deliverables
  4. Demonstrated superior understanding of business and technology organization, resources, priorities, needs and policies
  5. Demonstrated leadership in the implementation of complex programs and projects
  6. Ability to bring clarity to ambiguous assignments
  7. Demonstrated executive level verbal and written communication skills
  8. Superior working knowledge of business matters, finance, planning, and forecasting
  9. Strong skills in MS Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Visio, Project)

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. 7+ years of background experience in technical program or delivery management within enterprise IT, inclusive of software engineering, platform operations, DevOps, infrastructure organizations or systems architecture.
  2. Strong understanding of platform technologies such as:
o Cloud infrastructure: AWS, Azure, or GCP
o CI/CD pipelines: GitHub Actions, Jenkins, ArgoCD
o IaC & automation: Terraform, Ansible, ServiceNow workflows
    o Container platforms: Kubernetes, OpenShift
o Security & observability: Vault, Prometheus, OpenTelemetry, Splunk
  3. Exceptional skills in written communication, stakeholder influence, and risk management.
  4. Hands-on experience with tools like Jira, Rally, Confluence, for tracking and reporting.
  5. Exposure to internal developer portals and platform product management.
  6. Experience working with compliance-heavy environments (NIST, SOX, FFIEC, ISO).
  7. Familiarity with platform product management concepts and internal developer portals (e.g., Backstage).
  8. SAFe Agile or PMP certification (or equivalent delivery methodology expertise).
