WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

We are looking for a talented Senior Technology Strategy Advisor to support innovation and technology at Rogers as an individual contributor. The Advisor will work with Research partners on leading edge 5G Research and identify new use cases in IoT leveraging technologies such as Edge Computing and AI/ML
They will act as the on-site central point of communication to liaise with the internal working teams and The University of British Columbia. The Sr Technology Strategy Advisor will establish goals under the Partnership Agreement, work with the project team with appropriate expertise, and supervise and coordinate the performance of their respective obligations for each of the project streams.

Responsibilities
  • Act as the liaison between all parties for proper governance
  • Collaborate on Co-Creation projects with our customers, researchers and key industry stakeholders by using design thinking and agile development practices
  • Participate in regular status meetings and submit periodic status reports to track and report
  • Ensure the development and execution of on campus activities including recruiting, hackathons, case competitions
  • Create business cases and conduct commercialization viability activities alongside the research projects
  • Align stakeholders under a defined strategy and create and execute regular cadence
  • Build a pipeline of innovation: Identify, assess, prioritize and recommend innovative use cases to the steering committee
  • Coordinate test & learn activities, evaluating PoCs to determine areas of improvement and adoption
  • Collaborate with local ecosystem, to drive thought leadership and partnership in advancing the use cases
