MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Associate’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or Military background with 5+ years of relevant experience, OR 10+ years of relevant industry experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Proven experience assembling/maintaining test fixtures.
  • Strong ability to read industrial wiring diagrams.
  • Working knowledge of Lockout Tagout procedures.
  • Experience troubleshooting mechanical/electrical issues to root cause.
  • Ability to create BOMs from wiring and assembly diagrams.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Soldering certification.
  • Experience with control systems such as Galil, Delta Tau, and Allen Bradley.
  • Familiarity with LabVIEW.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Passion for learning and thriving in a dynamic, hands-on environment.
Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking a hands-on Test Fixture Engineer to join our R&D engineering team supporting the development of a robotically assisted minimally invasive surgical platform. This role focuses on assembling, wiring, and maintaining test fixtures, with an emphasis on mechanical, electromechanical, and automation systems in a regulated industry environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assemble and maintain mechanical/electromechanical test fixtures.
  • Wire and troubleshoot test fixtures per company and NFPA standards.
  • Read and interpret industrial wiring diagrams and mechanical drawings.
  • Create and maintain Bills of Materials (BOM) from wiring and assembly diagrams.
  • Update and maintain industrial-style wiring diagrams using AutoCAD.
  • Support mechanical assembly, wiring, and troubleshooting of industrial machinery, jigs, and attachments.
  • Perform root cause analysis on mechanical and electrical issues.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional R&D teams to support fixture development and ongoing improvements.
