Description
Ensure that all policies and procedures are implemented and well documented, performing occasional internal reviews and identifying compliance problems that call for formal attention. 2)Maintain a strong understanding of customs regulations related to import/export processes and communicate to the plant about relevant changes that have an impact on operations. 3)Monitor all the obligations to maintain certifications such as VAT, OEA and CTPAT 4)Ensure that temporary inventory fulfills with all Mexican Customs regulations 5)Keep open balance within threshold by following standard GTM process on monthly basis 6)Ensure legal stay of fixed asset in the plant or other locations 7)Provide guidance to stakeholders for any activity related to trade compliance, including the proper use of trade agreements 8)Compliance on the reporting management such as IMMEX 24 and annex 30, PROSEC, DIOT, INEGI, VAT, sub-maquila, etc. 9)Audit import and export transactions, its files and records to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations 10)Support programs and projects to take advantage of Free Trade Agreements and other duty savings opportunities 11)Application of the 8 CIF modules and support related initiatives on daily basis through establishing, maintaining and complying Standard Work and other tools. Participate in Lean Council and Continuous Bachelor's required knowledge in quality management systems 1)Degree qualification in Foreign Trade or related discipline 2)Minimum 3 years in a manufacturing environment, automotive preferred 3)Thorough knowledge and understanding of Mexican and International customs trade law framework 4)Understanding Risk/Legal issues related to import regulations. 8)Must be proactive and results oriented 9)Working Knowledge of MRP / ERP system, Oracle as a plus 10)Proficiency in Customs Law, Origin Laws, Annex 24, Annex 30, IMMEX requirements, international agreements. 12)Fluent in English-Spanish 1)Strong ethics and professional presence required 4)Build Organization Capability 5)Sense of urgency 6)Proactive and organized English level - Intermediate Systems - Vastera Functional competencies - Inventory Management & Optimization, Materials Replenishment Planning, Supply Chain Continuity Planning, Logistics
