The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to: Assist in data collection, traffic model development, capacity and operational analysis. Assist in performing planning level macro to micro traffic simulation models to compare present, and future traffic conditions and needs. Have some knowledge/understanding of various traffic analysis software such as Synchro, HCS, VISSIM, Sidra. Have knowledge of various analysis, reporting, and presentation software such as Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Assist in performing traffic analysis for small- and large-scale transportation projects. Assist in creating visual presentations on transportation data. Assist in preparing and reviewing technical documents, alternative analysis reports, and other project-specific deliverables. Collaborate and participate in internal and external team meetings. Periodic travel required within Georgia and neighboring states. Qualifications MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or Planning + 8 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Relevant experience in transportation or traffic engineering is a plus Excellent verbal and written communication skills, good time management skills, self-starter with a strong work ethic, willingness to learn, commitment to quality, and attention to detail Experience in Synchro/SimTraffic, HCS, Sidra, and/or VISSIM Experience in ArcGIS, Synchro and/or other traffic modeling software, MicroStation and/or other CAD software, intersection control evaluation (ICE) analysis, crash data analysis, alternatives analysis, multi-criteria decision analysis, benefit-cost analysis, and other related planning and engineering tools Additional Information Sponsorship is available for this position Relocation is not available for this position About AECOM AECOM is proud to offer comprehensive benefits to meet the diverse needs of our employees.
