Description Mission Rock Residential is hiring for a Senior Vendor Compliance Specialist to make a meaningful impact across our portfolio while working closely with internal partners. This role collaborates with property management, finance, and risk teams to ensure vendors are onboarded efficiently, records remain accurate and compliant, and payments and 1099 reporting are completed smoothly and on time. The day-to-day: Manage vendor onboarding and maintenance, including setup, updates, and deactivation of vendors across multiple properties. Review and validate vendor documentation (W-9s, insurance certificates, licenses, and EFT forms) to ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. Partner with Property Management, Accounts Payable, Risk Management, and external credentialing services to resolve vendor issues and support timely payments. Monitor vendor compliance, track exceptions and overrides, and maintain accurate, audit-ready vendor records. Support annual 1099 preparation and filings and identify opportunities to improve vendor onboarding and compliance processes. Requirements What you bring: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. 3+ years of experience in vendor management, accounts payable, or compliance, preferably in property management or real estate. Advanced Excel skills and strong proficiency with Word, Outlook, Teams; experience with property or vendor management systems a plus. Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to explain complex financial and compliance information clearly. Proven ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and drive process improvements. Experience collaborating cross-functionally to ensure vendor compliance, timely payments, and audit readiness. *Additional duties or job functions that can be performed safely may be required.
