General Summary The Senior Vice President (SVP) of Information Technology is a strategic executive responsible for defining and executing the organization’s overall technology vision, strategy, and operating model. This role oversees all aspects of IT, including enterprise applications, infrastructure, cybersecurity, data and analytics, cloud services, and digital innovation, ensuring technology capabilities align with and enable business objectives, scalability, and long-term growth. This position ensures the reliability, security, and performance of all technology environments, fosters innovation through emerging technologies, and builds strong partnerships across business units and external stakeholders to deliver efficient, data-driven, and customer-centric solutions. Primary / Key Essential Functions and Responsibilities Strategic Leadership * Develop and execute the company’s IT strategy aligned with business objectives. * Serve as a key advisor to executive leadership on technology trends, risks, and opportunities. * Lead digital transformation initiatives, including ERP optimization, EDI integration and systems consolidation. ERP Systems Management * Oversee the implementation, enhancement, and maintenance of ERP systems * Ensure ERP platforms support core business processes such as finance, supply chain, manufacturing, & CS. * Drive continuous improvement and scalability of ERP solutions. EDI Integration & Optimization * Lead the strategy, implementation, and management of EDI systems and standards (e.g., ANSI X12, EDIFACT). * Ensure seamless data exchange with customers, suppliers, and third-party partners. * Monitor EDI performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure compliance with trading partner requirements. Technology Operations * Oversee IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, cloud services, and enterprise applications. * Ensure high availability, reliability, and security of all IT systems. * Establish and enforce IT governance, policies, and best practices. Team Leadership * Build and lead high-performing IT teams, including application development, infrastructure, and support. * Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous learning. * Manage vendor relationships and third-party service providers. Data & Analytics * Promote data-driven decision-making through business intelligence and analytics platforms. * Ensure data integrity, governance, and compliance across ERP and EDI systems. * Manage IT vendors, technology budgets, and major system implementations. Ensure reliable IT service delivery across multiple locations while establishing service standards and improving internal support processes. Education and/or Experience and Qualifications Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or Computer Science, or related field (Master’s preferred), or equivalent experience Minimum Experience: 15+ years of progressive IT leadership experience, including executive-level roles. Proven experience leading ERP implementations and upgrades. Extensive hands-on experience with Infrastructure, Security, EDI systems and integrations. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Technical Expertise * Strong knowledge of ERP platforms (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar). * Deep understanding of EDI standards, mapping, and middleware solutions. * Experience with cloud computing (AWS, Azure, or GCP). * Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks and compliance standards. Leadership Skills * Demonstrated ability to align IT strategy with business goals. * Strong communication and stakeholder management skills. * Experience managing large budgets and cross-functional teams.
