Description Information Systems Solutions (ISS) is seeking an experienced Windows Server/VMWare Administrator to manage, secure, and optimize our server infrastructure. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the daily administration of our Windows Server and VMWare environments, ensuring system availability, performance, and security in compliance with DoD standards. This role is 100% onsite. Key Responsibilities: · Server Administration: Install, configure, and maintain Windows Server environments (2016, 2019, 2022), including Active Directory, Group Policy (GPO), and DNS services. · Virtualization Management: Manage the VMWare vSphere infrastructure, including vCenter Server, ESXi hosts, and virtual machine lifecycle. · Security & Hardening: Implement and maintain system security by applying DoD Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) and performing regular vulnerability assessments and remediation using tools like ACAS/Nessus. · Patch Management: Oversee server patching and updates using WSUS or other enterprise patch management solutions to mitigate vulnerabilities and ensure system integrity. · Automation: Utilize PowerShell scripting to automate routine administrative tasks, system deployments, and security configurations. · Monitoring & Performance: Monitor server and system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure high levels of availability and reliability. · Collaboration: Work with cybersecurity and network teams to ensure the server infrastructure is secure, compliant, and integrated with other enterprise systems. Requirements Clearance Level Secret or Top-Secret Clearance Certifications (IAT Level III) · SecurityX · CCNP Security · CISA CISSP (or Associate) · GCED · GCIH Required Skills Bachelor’s Degree in a technical field or 5 years equivalent professional experience. Proven experience administering Windows Server environments. Hands-on experience managing a VMWare vSphere/vCenter virtualized environment. Preferred Qualifications: Advanced certifications such as VMWare Certified Professional (VCP), MCSE: Core Infrastructure, or CISSP. Strong proficiency in PowerShell scripting for automation. In-depth knowledge of DoD cybersecurity policies and STIG implementation. Experience with enterprise backup and storage solutions.
