What You’ll do: Test RF systems (Wifi / Bluetooth / GPS / UWB / Cellular and/or tactical radios) Lead product integration and checkout efforts (EMI/interference testing, installed performance testing, data analysis) Validate system performance in close cooperation with design & system engineers Data analysis and clear communication of results and collaboration with design engineers to resolve any product problems found via test Develop and perform field, lab, and initial production testing of RF subsystems Support in Root Cause Analysis process Select and test wireless components Design PCBAs with RF and high-speed digital components Collaborate with a cross-functional team to support product development from prototype to production Lead and participate as a key contributor in design reviews Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineer or similar 6+ years of experience in Engineering related field 6+ years of experience in RF system integration at circuit and system level Experience in scripting language to develop automation. Python, MATLAB, Labview, or similar. Experience with RF test equipment such as Vector Network Analyzers, Spectrum Analyzers, Signal Generators, and Power Meters Experience with testing RF components like power amplifiers, transmitters, receivers, antenns, and filters Good presentation skills in order to work with cross functional engineering, business, and customer teams A detail-oriented individual who thrives in an environment that values effective team collaboration Self-motivated engineer with the ability to work independently Able to travel 25% of the time, including to remote test sites when needed. Ability to work full-time in-person at facility in Mountain View, CA US Citizen Currently possesses and is able to maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance Preferred Qualifications: Experience in Schematic Capture and/or PCBA layout. Experience with Altium Designer is a plus Experience with PCBA designs including RF and high-speed digital components Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Lucid Chart Experience in Product Release Cycle from prototype to production and key deliverables of each phase Hands-on experience with complex networking equipment, a deep understanding of networking protocols, test design and implementation chops and a background in IP network design Experience with: Wired networking technologies (Gigabit, 10Gigabit) Low power RF circuit design Familiarity with LTE, 5G, WiFi, UWB Experience with computer hardware communication bus protocols: USB, I2C, I2S, CSI, Ethernet, SPI, PCIe, HDMI, CAN, serial comms, etc Able to write clear specifications and operator’s manuals US Salary Range $141,000—$191,000 USD The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only.
