              JOB DESCRIPTION                                                                                        JOB  TITLE:                         SKI/RIDE CENTER DESK CLERK                                                                          DEPARTMENT:                  SKI SCHOOL   REPORTS TO:                     SKI SCHOOL MANAGER    CLASSIFICATION:            PART-TIME/HOURLY/SEASONAL     POSITION SUMMARY: Utilize strong customer service and organizational skills to efficiently register ski and snowboard lessons with a positive and helpful attitude.  Register daily lesson assignments for all instructors.   ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Answer phone calls and CLC inquiries. Greet guests at the desk or by phone and offer personable assistance by clearly explaining lesson information, options, and prices. Complete registration process according to established procedures. Maintain a positive and helpful attitude toward all guests. Complete all other Daily Duties as described below. Other duties as assigned by Management within the Ski & Ride Department.    OTHER FUNCTIONS: Process billing for Powdercat’s program. Maintain daily logs. Responsible for all daily lessons and monetary transactions.      CUSTOMER SERVICE/GUEST RELATIONS: This is a key public interaction position within the company.   Employee must present self, coworkers, and the company in a positive light at all times.  Must know and be able to articulate all facets of the company and also possess a positive, enthusiastic and cooperative attitude.   Creating a safe and friendly atmosphere for children and parents is a priority, as well as ensuring each guest has a positive and enjoyable experience.   QUALIFICATIONS: Must be a people-person who interacts well and patiently with children and adults. Must be able to assist guests with questions about resort services. Must be a strong team player. Must possess excellent Guest Service qualities. Must be personable, flexible, patient and understanding. Must have the ability and desire to develop and maintain strong guest relations.     Skills   Ability to multi-task                 Computer knowledge   Education/Certification   High school diploma or GED                                      Experience         Will train              DAILY DUTIES: Cash bag pick-up. Retrieve phone messages and return calls promptly. Use computer to sell lessons and balance daily transactions. Serve snacks and lunch to children when no attendant is available. Sweep, mop, vacuum, and keep CLC area organized. Responsible for daily preparations including reservations, child lockers, bibs and name tags. File and organize all paperwork. Bring skis inside (not hung up) at end of day.      WORKING CONDITIONS:   Work in an indoor, busy public setting. Must be able to stand for long periods of time.                                     PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:   Minimal physical exertion.
