Reporting directly to the General Manager, the Senior Instructor plays a key role in maintaining a safe, engaging, and exceptional experience for students, parents, and staff. BENEFITS * Paid training * Daily Pay available * SafeSplash® Brands Curriculum Certification * Flexible hours * Free swim lessons for immediate family members * Career growth opportunities * Health benefits (30+ hours per week) * Paid time off (30+ hours per week) * Wealth benefits (30+ hours per week) RESPONSIBILITIES CURRICULUM / TRAINING * Provide initial training for new staff and ongoing training for all team members to enhance skills and stay current with standards * Supervise instructors and lifeguards to ensure high-quality lessons and adherence to safety and brand standards * Coach and mentor instructors both in and out of the water * Assist instructors in the water with curriculum-related challenges * Conduct quarterly in-services to ensure continued education * Provide constructive feedback through evaluations or real-time coaching * Collaborate with the management team to identify training needs SAFETY * Ensure the safety of all customers and report unsafe activities, equipment, or instruction to management * Provide immediate feedback to instructors if safety requirements are not being followed (e.g., safety distances, holds, turning backs, etc.) CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE * Deliver a world-class experience by addressing customer inquiries, ensuring lesson quality, and supporting swimmer progress * Assist instructors with communicating swimmer progress to parents JOB TYPE & SCHEDULE * Full-time * Weekdays, weeknights, and weekends required * 30+ hours per week (seasonality may impact hours) * Work Location: On-site REQUIREMENTS * Minimum of 6 months teaching swim lessons at SafeSplash Swim School * Supervisory or team leadership experience in aquatics, education, or a related field preferred * Ability to work effectively in a team environment * Strong written and verbal communication skills * Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while taking initiative * Comfortable working around water and interacting with children and parents * Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods * CPR, First Aid, and AED certifications required within 90 days of hire (provided) * Lifeguard certification preferred * Prior swimming instruction experience required #slbspo
