Are you passionate about making a positive impact on children's lives? We are looking for a dedicated Senior Instructor to oversee the training and continued education of our swim instructors. Reporting directly to the General Manager, the Senior Instructor plays a key role in maintaining a safe, engaging, and exceptional product for students, parents, and staff. Responsibilities: Curriculum / Training •Provide initial training for new staff and ongoing training for all team members to enhance their skills and stay current with standards. •Supervise instructors and lifeguards to ensure high-quality lessons and adherence to safety and brand standards. •Coach and mentor instructors both in and out of the water. •Assist instructors in the water with challenges they are facing with the curriculum. •Conduct quarterly in-services to ensure continued education. •Provide constructive feedback to staff through evaluations or immediate feedback. •Collaborate with the management team to determine training needs. Safety •Ensure the safety of our customers and report any unsafe activities, equipment or instruction to management. •Provide feedback to instructors immediately if they are outside of curriculum safety requirements (i.e. safety distances, holds, turning backs, etc.) Customer •Deliver a world-class experience by addressing customer inquiries, ensuring we are delivering an exceptional product, and the swimmers are progressing. •Assist instructors on how to communicate with parents on their child’s progress. Job Type •Part-time / Full-time •Weekdays, Weeknights and Weekends required •20+ hours a week (seasonality can impact this) •Work Location: On-site Requirements •Minimum of 6 months of teaching swim lessons at SafeSplash Swim School •Supervisory or team leadership experience in aquatics, education, or related field preferred. •Ability to work effectively in a team environment •Strong written and verbal communication skills •Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment while being agile and taking initiative •Comfortable working around water and interacting with children and parents. •Must be able to lift 50 lbs. and be on your feet for long periods •CPR, First Aid, and AED certifications are required within 90 days of hire (we provide) •Lifeguard certification is preferred •Experience in swimming instruction is required Benefits •Paid Training •Daily Pay available •SafeSplash® Brands Curriculum Certification •Flexible Hours •Free Swim Lessons for immediate family of employees •Career Growth •Health Benefits (30+ hours per week) •Paid time off (30+ hours per week) •Wealth Benefits (30+ hours per week)
