SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Knowledge of Operations Integrity Management System (OIMS), Personnel Safety Management System (PSMS), and Work Management System (WMS) is required
  • Bachelors degree in science or engineering. 7+ years of field Safety & Health experience.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS/ EXPERIENCE

  • Industry recognized certifications (i.e. CSP, ASP, OHST)

Responsibilities

WHAT ROLE YOU WILL PLAY IN OUR TEAM

  • Field Safety Advisor who will provide direct support to Operations & Maintenance teams
  • This role will be located in Midland, Texas and will work a 5/2 schedule with occasional weekends

WHAT YOU WILL DO

Engaging personality with ability to quickly develop relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Provide ongoing leadership and able to utilize effective coaching with ability to influence behaviors of work teams particularly as it relates to PSMS. Advanced investigator with ability to lead investigation and identify causal factors/root causes of high potential incidents and communicate findings to senior management. Ability to carry out complex Safety & Health projects independently or as a member of a team. Active participant in Buddy Manager program to ensure effective management of contractor workforce. Participate in contractor interface discussions as requested. Expected to develop content, coordinate, and lead team meetings. Collaborate with Operations personnel to ensure effective Emergency Response Plans are in place and effective. Participate in coordination of Emergency Response drills in area of responsibility. Must be willing and able to work in a team environment. Must be flexible and willing to work alternative work hours and weekends. Strong written and verbal communication skills with extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office. Understanding and use of Smartsheet required.
