We’re hiring full-time and part-time Security Professionals for high-profile sites across Vancouver, Burnaby, Coquitlam, Squamish, and Whistler.
As an SSR Security Professional with SSR (Safety, Security, and Risk Management), you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of a wide variety of sites. SSR is committed to delivering excellence in both protection and guest experience. In this role, you will play a critical part in maintaining a secure environment while providing outstanding customer service to clients.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Valid Security Worker License (BST) – Required.
  • Must have an open full-time availability from Sept 5th - Dec 31st, 2025.
  • High School Diploma – Required; additional training or education in criminology or law enforcement is considered an asset.
  • Excellent observation, communication, and decision-making skills, especially in high-pressure situations.
  • Bondable and able to successfully pass a security clearance.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a diverse team, while adhering to SSR protocols and procedures.
  • Open and flexible availability, including weekends, evenings, and holidays
  • Must consistently demonstrate professionalism, integrity, and alignment with SSR’s values of Safety, Security, and Risk Management.
Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough access control procedures, including bag inspections and screening, to prevent prohibited items from entering event premises
  • Monitor designated event areas to proactively detect, assess, and resolve potential safety or security concerns
  • Deliver exceptional customer service, assisting attendees with inquiries, directions, and crowd movement while maintaining a professional presence
  • Collaborate with local law enforcement, including the RCMP, Municipal Police, and event organizers to support public safety, regulatory compliance, and coordinated incident response
  • Enforce event-specific policies, procedures, and regulations while prioritizing the safety and well-being of all guests, staff, and stakeholders
  • Maintain situational awareness at all times, observing crowd behavior to identify and mitigate potential risks or disturbances
  • Communicate clearly and effectively with fellow SSR team members, event personnel, and emergency responders as required
  • Patrol and monitor event sites to ensure ongoing safety of all areas, assets, and individuals present
  • Respond to incidents in accordance with SSR protocols, including the removal of unauthorized individuals or trespassers from restricted areas
  • Demonstrate professional verbal and written communication in all reporting, incident documentation, and interactions
