Description of the Position: (Purpose of the Position):  To assist the St. Olaf Choir and St. Olaf Choir student manager with tour, rehearsal and concert logistics and to provide year-round leadership as a member of the St. Olaf Choir leadership team/officers. Daily work direction comes primarily from St. Olaf Choir student manager. * Set daily rehearsals and assist as needed with concerts * Schedule and supervise student crews for on-campus dress rehearsals and performances * Co-supervise student crews for off-campus rehearsals and performances * Ensure all Choir equipment is properly stored, returned and tracked between concerts, maintaining a list of storage spaces and equipment. * Assume back-up for the role of St. Olaf Choir student manager if or as needed. * Set and maintain a positive tone and spirit towards all work of the Choir; serve as a role model for other choir members. Qualifications: (Education/Experience/Skills)  * Strong leadership skills demonstrated at all times, including positivity, encouragement of student crews, respect for colleagues and authority, flexibility, and problem solving.  * Knowledge of choral repertoire and ensemble practices for the St. Olaf Choir  * Knowledge of choral stage configurations  * Knowledge of choral equipment and instruments * Knowledge of scheduling practices for St. Olaf Choir, truck loading and unloading transfers, stage set-ups and tear-downs, rehearsals, and performances * Knowledge of student crew organization * Preference given to students with one or two years of experience in the St. Olaf choir who intend to participate in the St. Olaf Choir for the upcoming year * Active St. Olaf College Approved Driver Physical and Environmental Factors: This position requires crouching, stooping, twisting/pivoting, climbing/balancing, reaching overhead, grasping/handling, pushing/pulling, lifting and carrying objects up to 50 lbs., operating equipment/machinery, operating hand tools, and driving to perform the essential functions. It also requires exposure to loud noise to perform the essential functions, as well as rare exposure to wet or humid conditions indoors, extreme cold, extreme heat, proximity hazards, and heights or cramped quarters.
