Description
Note, this is a hybrid position whereby the employee will work both from home and from the Dearborn office. Hence, the employee must live within a reasonable commuting distance from Dearborn, MI. Develop the Advance Product Quality Planning (APQP) and the Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) for all the New Tooled End Items for the program including Multi-Party Agreements and directs suppliers. Develop program specific NTEI file containing pertinent part number information. Load and maintain program information in the Advanced Product Quality System Leads priority supplier selection, facilitate concurrence with Product Development, Purchasing and Site Supplier Technical Assistance and notify suppliers. Train suppliers and cross functional team members on the supplier engagement process and the APQP/PPAP (Readiness Assessment. Track PPAP and Schedule A (External Supplier APQP/PPAP Readiness Assessment) status and submission requirements to the Site STA Organization and Supply Base. Provide onsite STA Launch support for Build events. Lead containment, 8D follow up, ICA / PCA activity. Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Mechanical Engineering or a related field and 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or a related occupation. 5 years of experience with each of the following skills is required: 1. Vehicle Electrical Systems: Required to achieve the proper function of the components in the vehicle including Keyless access, Engine remote start, Phone Connection, and Autonomous Drive. 2. Problem solving, using Six Sigma Quality Tools including Gage R&R, Process Capability, and Position Process Capability. 3. Manufacturing experience in electronic automotive components with Surface Mount Technology and Electronic Modules that require software, including Air Bag Modules and Powertrain Control Modules. 4. 5.
