Description
Manage Supplier Technical Assistance group consisting of Launch and Resident Managers & supporting teams. Manage program readiness through APQP, aligning with cross functional leaders, driving issue resolution in order to deliver programs on time with Quality. Ensure Process adherence by both internal Ford skill teams as well as Supplier Engagement on Major and Moderate Programs Monitor Schedule B, Industrialization Readiness and PPAP on each Program and communicate status and help needed from cross functional leaders including Site Supplier Technical Assistance Communicate to management to assure adequate resources are in place. Prioritize and allocate resources to achieve Launch and Resident team objectives. Support the facilitation of help needed with PVT (Product Vehicle Team) and/or Manufacturing for issue resolution where suppliers need help from Ford. Ensure direct interface with supplier manufacturing sites for containment and closure of zero Month In Service special cause supplier process (SP) current model quality projects. Manage and review Phased PPAP status and timing plans to deliver on time Phase PPAP approvals Ensure participation as needed in VRT (Variability Reduction Team) and forums and Vehicle Quality Reviews (VQR's). Support pre-production builds and drive resolution of supplier quality concerns Ensure timely containment of stop shipments and release of vehicles on hold for quality concerns Ensure communication of Best Practice/Lessons Learned to STA activities Drive adherence to all organizational and corporate policy and procedures Lead employee development consistent with Human Resources policy and procedures Established and active employee resource groups Bachelor of Science / Engineering or Equivalent in a relevant field or combination of relevant education and experience. Be proficient in English when working with global teams Strong Knowledge and Application of Problem-Solving Tools Experience in the use of Quality Tools and Project Management Strong communication, inter-personal and team building skills Ability to travel in the US, Canada, and Mexico approximately 75% of the time Plant Manufacturing or Quality Experience Supply/Crisis Management Experience Manager Role Experience Site and/or Program experience
