For more information, please see www.dt-global.com The Role The Consultant will lead the Samoa Tourism Training Taskforce (TTT) in undertaking a comprehensive Training Needs Analysis (TNA) for the Tourism and Hospitality sector workforce. The aim is to capture the required information/ feedback to formulate a calendar of training programmes for the tourism workforce at all levels as required. Roles and Responsibilities The overall objective of the assignment is to undertake a comprehensive Training Needs Analysis for the Tourism and Hospitality Sector, including: · The collection of information about the number and skillsets of graduates from tourism and hospitality training institutions across Samoa who are currently employed in the sector. · The collection of information about the number of students undertaking tourism and hospitality studies on both full-time and on a part-time basis. · Information about the number and skillsets of foreign workers. · Information about the training institutions the workers have attended. · Collection of information on the actual skills needs. · The types of trainings required. · The level of qualifications needed by the sector. · Collection of data on the number of employed staff, both casual and permanent, including disaggregation by gender (male and female) and disability (where information available). · Supports development of an inclusive training program in the tourism and hospitality sector. · Information on the disaggregation of employees across the hierarchical structure. Click on the link or copy paste it to access the full Terms of Reference for this position: https://tinyurl.com/mr3x629c Selection Criteria Essential Experience and Knowledge · A University Degree in a relevant discipline. · Extensive work experience in the Tourism and Hospitality Sector preferably here in Samoa. · A high level of knowledge, experience and understanding of training needs analysis or situation analysis. · A high experience in conducting research and analysis in relation to skill needs, tourism employment viability analysis and providing viable solutions. · Fluency in spoken English and Samoan. · Excellent report writing skills.
