Job Description Stabilising Engineer - Waikato We’re looking for a Stabilising Engineer to join our team at Fulton Hogan, based in Hamilton. This position involves regular travel across New Zealand and extended periods working away from home. Our national operations crew travels frequently, with most work taking place Monday to Friday. During busy summer months, weekend work and travel are common, and occasional night shifts may also be required. Key responsibilities: Manage, coordinate, and supervise assigned civil projects delivered by either our staff or subcontractors. Allocate resources efficiently to ensure smooth delivery of work. Demonstrate initiative by working collaboratively to create and implement engineered solutions for our contracts. Develop and implement control measures to minimize risk to health and safety for workers and members of the public. Ensure that the environmental risks are identified and controlled through documented processes and apply positive process change and SOP's. In addition to the above you will: Previous experience in a similar role or relevant tertiary qualification (BE or NZCE). Must be a New Zealand resident or citizen. Hold a current Class 1 Full NZ driver’s licence (Class 2 preferred). Mechanical aptitude and hands-on experience.
