Starting Hourly Wage $26.34 plus full benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance and 401K matching Humboldt Sawmill Company, LLC (HSC™) is looking for an experienced Stacker Operator to join our Planer team in Scotia, CA! The Mendocino Companies (Mendocino Forest Products Company, Mendocino Redwood Company, Humboldt Redwood Company, Humboldt Sawmill Company, and Allweather Wood) own nearly 450,000 acres of Forest Stewardship Council® (FSC® C031337) certificated redwood and Douglas-fir timberland, constitute the largest waterborne wood treater in the Western USA, and is the largest producer of redwood lumber in the world. Collectively providing 950 employees and their families with excellent wages and benefits in communities throughout the Western USA. Additionally, the Mendocino Companies own and operate a 25-megaWatt biomass cogeneration power plant and wood pellet plant. Responsibilities The Stacker Operator is responsible to operate the Stacker. and to sort and stack lumber in a safe and productive manner. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The key areas of focus for this position are as follows; Stack lumber units in solid packages or stacks lumber on sticks for drying depending on destination. Monitor sticking machine for cross ups, broken stickers, and debris Maintain supply of lathe stickers Communicate with Bin Tender, Tallier and Forklift Operator Inspect end stacker every day Perform light maintenance as required, and recognize possible problems to be communicated to maintenance Qualifications High school diploma or GED or 3 months related experience Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form PHYSICAL DEMANDS While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to stand and use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms and climb or balance. The employee is occasionally required to walk and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. This position requires the employee to view a computer screen and use a keyboard for extended period of time. The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this position include close, distance, color, peripheral and ability to adjust focus. The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this position. While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts, outside weather conditions, and vibration. Responsibilities

The Stacker Operator is responsible for operating the Stacker and sorting and stacking lumber safely and productively. Key tasks include monitoring equipment, maintaining supplies, and inspecting machinery.
