We are currently seeking a Staff Accountant - Accounts Receivable professional for our corporate accounting team. This is a hybrid/remote home office position with meetings in the King of Prussia office for those who are local. The base salary range is $52,000 - $55,000. The Staff Accountant - Accounts Receivable professional is responsible for the billing and accounts receivable cycle for the business units including Corporate, Student, Individual, and Travel insurance from billing through the collection processes.   Responsibilities: Provide customer service regarding collection issues, process customer refunds, process and review account adjustments, resolve client discrepancies and short payments Monitor and maintain assigned accounts with customer calls, account adjustments, and customer reconciliations Properly record and apply daily premium remittances (checks, ACH, wires, and credit card receipts) to outstanding invoices, and directly interact with groups, brokers, individuals, or clients promptly to reconcile discrepancies and questions Support various financial statement audits by compiling any required audit schedules, evidence, reconciliations, or necessary commentary Assist with monthly and yearly closings, complete journal entries, general ledger reconciliations and analysis   Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, economics, finance, or equivalent work experience plus at least 1 to 3 years of accounting experience, preferably in insurance or financial service industry. Experience with Collections is preferred Proficiency with windows-based computer programs and general ledger packages, including Excel. Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains helpful Capacity to prioritize and perform multiple tasks simultaneously with attention to detail and quality Able to prioritize and manage expectations to complete work within established timeframes Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently Good communication skills to efficiently work with others both internally and externally.
