Summary We are hiring a Staff Accountant to join our collaborative team in Everett, WA! The Staff Accountant is responsible for applying principles of accounting to analyze financial information and prepare financial reports by auditing and analyzing material costs, standard costs, fixed assets, inventories and the general ledger. May establish, modify, document and coordinate implementation of accounting and accounting control procedures. Essential Functions • Review financial documents for accuracy and authenticity. • Analyzes, classifies and records financial transactions. • May prepare reports regarding profits and losses, inventories, receipts and disbursements, balance sheets and other reports. • Creates and maintains schedules to support prepaid expenses and other amortized expenses. • Strong understanding of cost accounting and analysis of variances. • May participate in account analysis and management reports. • Performs month end reconciliation of bank statements, vendor statements and general ledger accounts and performs appropriate accruals. • Provides monthly variance reports of production and perform appropriate accruals. • Maintain fixed asset postings, calculate and post depreciation to the general ledger and for tax purposes. • Prepares reports and documentation for third-party audits, responds to audit requests and coordinates with other accounting specialists. • Manages lease accounting in accordance with ASC 842. • Establishes, modifies, documents and coordinates implementation of accounting and accounting control procedures. • Various other duties as assigned. • Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
