Aligned Orthopedic Partners is recruiting for an experienced Staff Accountant. Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Staff Accountant to join our finance team. This role is responsible for preparing and reviewing monthly balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial records, and performing vendor reconciliations. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in accounting principles, advanced Excel skills, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities: Prepare and analyze monthly balance sheet reconciliations, identifying and resolving discrepancies in a timely manner. Perform vendor account reconciliations, ensuring all invoices, payments, and credits are accurately recorded. Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries and financial reporting. Maintain compliance with GAAP and company policies in all accounting functions. Work closely with the accounts payable and procurement teams to resolve vendor discrepancies and ensure accurate financial reporting. Utilize Excel functions (such as VLOOKUP, pivot tables, conditional formatting, and complex formulas) to analyze financial data and improve reconciliation processes. Assist with audit requests by providing supporting documentation and explanations for account balances. Support process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and accuracy in reconciliations. Collaborate with other departments to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting. Qualifications & Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field is required. 1-3 years of accounting experience, preferably in general ledger and reconciliations. Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting principles. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including experience with VLOOKUP, pivot tables, and data analysis. Experience with accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks, NetSuite). Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines. Effective communication skills to interact with vendors, internal teams, and auditors.
