POSITION SUMMARY

Responsible for accounting functions, administrative tasks, and office management across multiple business entities within Ames Construction. Requires strong organization, attention to detail, and teamwork to support financial operations.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Prior experience in accounting, administrative, or office management roles preferred.
  • Proficiency in accounting software, Microsoft Office Suite, and other relevant platforms.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Self-motivated and a desire to learn.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Responsibilities
  • Handle Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR), ensuring timely processing, reconciliation, and accuracy of financial transactions.
  • Assist with month-end closeout activities, including account reconciliations, financial statement preparation, and variance analysis.
  • Administer HVAC service division accounting, including maintenance agreement setup, payroll verification, and on-call service updates.
  • Maintain inventory tracking, vehicle mileage logs, and fuel usage records to support operational efficiency and financial accuracy.
  • Oversee billing processes, including employee and small job invoicing, subcontractor payables, credit card reconciliations, bond tracking, and OCIP compliance.
  • Research and implement new tools and processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness in financial operations.
  • Assist in identifying additional reports and analytics to enhance financial statement accuracy and decision-making.
  • Contribute to special projects, financial presentations, and administrative initiatives as directed by management.
