Description Position Overview The Staff Accountant supports daily accounting operations, including accounts payable and general ledger activities. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, performing reconciliations, and assisting with month-end close. The position reports to the Controller. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and a collaborative team player with a positive attitude. Essential Job Functions Process and record accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions. Prepare and issue customer invoices; monitor receivables and assist with collections. Process vendor payments, including checks and electronic payments. Perform monthly bank and credit card reconciliations. Assist with general ledger reconciliations and journal entries. Support month-end and year-end close processes. Maintain accurate customer and vendor records. Prepare 1099s and assist with year-end reporting. Generate reports and resolve account discrepancies. Collaborate with internal teams to resolve billing or payment issues. Assist with audits and maintain proper documentation. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications 2+ years of accounting experience (AP/AR or general accounting). Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Effective communication and problem-solving abilities. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting systems. Proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook Education and Experience Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience). ERP experience (SAP preferred). Manufacturing or project-based accounting experience is a plus. Work Conditions May be required to work some late days to meet project deadlines and end of month responsibilities. Pay: $52,000-$70,000 Annual Salary based on experience level
