We are currently seeking a positive, hard-working, self-motivated individuals to join our fantastic team as our Staff Accountant – AR/Payroll at our island-inspired resort. THE JOB: This role will report to: The Director of Finance and Controller Requirements Qualifications: 2+ years’ experience in Accounting and Payroll High School Diploma or equivalent 1-3 years of experience in a previous hotel is strongly preferred Time Management skills to complete all work in allotted time Excellent attention to details to meet both internal and external client needs Ability to work with minimal supervision Previous experience in high customer contact environment; with previous experience answering customer questions and handling customer concerns. Ability to clearly and pleasantly communicate both verbally and in writing with guests, management and co-workers, both in person and by telephone. Ability to accurately and efficiently input information into computer systems Ability to work cohesively with co-workers both within and outside of your department Ability to compute accurate mathematical calculations Ability to think clearly, quickly and make concise decisions with strong problem-solving skills Developed computer proficiency, particularly with Microsoft Office Advanced in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook; daily use of nearly all programs will occur Maintain professional appearance offering a positive experience to all guests. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment. The ability to meet scheduling demands to include Monday-Friday office hours and weekends as needed To be successful in this role you should have the ability to successfully: Main responsibility will be the management and processing of the bi-weekly resort payroll. Responsibility will also include accounts receivable functions and duties Understand and ensure compliance with all Finance SOPs Assist with Audit requests.
