Carter Pecan is a group with the specialization of fine tree nut trading, including but not limited to pecan, walnut and pistachios. Since the acquisition of a pecan shelling facility and the expansion into the nut milk retailing industry, the accounting department is facing a bigger challenge and anticipates a higher transactional volume. We are currently in the process of transitioning from QuickBooks to Oracle NetSuites, a move that will transform our operations. Job Title: Staff Accountant
Location: Panama City Beach, FL (Onsite)
Job Description:
1. Assist with Accounts Payable to manage the vendor payments
2. Bank Account/ Credit Card/ Inventory Reconciliation
3. Assist with month/quarter and year end book closing
4. Assist with document preparation for the auditing
5. Overtime is required during the business peak season (October to March)
Requirements:
1. Bachelor Degree of Accounting, or other degrees with GAAP knowledge reserves.
2. Proficiency in accounting or ERP software. E.g. SAP/ NetSuites/QuickBooks
3. Proficiency in Microsoft Suites, Especially Excel
4. At least 2 years Accounting-related full-time working experience
5. Detailed Oriented & Multitasking
6. Must be authorized to work in the U.S. Full-time employees may be considered for visa sponsorship after performance review.
Preference:
1. English Spanish or English Mandarin Bilingual Candidates
2. Candidates with trading or agriculture industry background
3. Experience with cross-company general ledger entries
