Job Title: Staff Accountant Job Description We are seeking a dedicated Staff Accountant to streamline our accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and timely execution. You will own key pieces of the month-end close process, including journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis. Building strong relationships with vendors and customers, maintaining and updating fixed asset schedules, and assisting with audit preparation and financial reporting for both internal and external stakeholders will be vital. You will have the opportunity to drive continuous improvement through automation and workflow optimization and work on special projects that provide exposure to senior leadership and cross-functional teams. Responsibilities Streamline and perform accounts payable and receivable processes. Perform month-end close process, including journal entries and reconciliations. Build and maintain relationships with vendors and customers. Maintain and update fixed asset schedules. Assist with audit preparation and financial reporting. Assist with process improvements and automations as needed. Assist with special projects as needed. Essential Skills Proficient in AP and AR processes Experience in Month-end processes and Financial Reporting. Skilled in Journal Entry and Financial Statement. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. 1-3 years of professional accounting experience. Proficiency in Excel and experience with accounting/ERP systems. Work Environment This position is fully on-site and follows a 980 schedule: Monday through Thursday for 9 hours, with every other Friday off, and working on alternate Fridays for 8 hours. Shifts typically start between 7:30 am and 8:30 am. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Clearwater, FL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $36.05/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
