Job Title: Staff Accountant Job Description Join a dynamic team at a manufacturing facility in Allentown, PA as a Staff Accountant. This hands-on role offers a comprehensive experience in monthly, quarterly, and year-end reporting procedures, ledger entries, and exposure to fixed asset accounting. This position is ideal for those with a robust understanding of manufacturing accounting. Responsibilities Manage and post transactions in areas such as A/P & A/R, billing, cash application, and payroll. Collaborate with an external payroll provider for payroll processing. Handle all aspects of financial reporting, including monthly, quarterly, and year-end reports. Ensure accurate ledger entries and fixed asset accounting. Utilize ERP systems to process transactions efficiently. Work closely with senior management to understand the company's business, products, and customers. Essential Skills Bachelor's degree in Accounting from an accredited institution. Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience. Foundational knowledge of US GAAP, financial statements, fixed asset accounting, cost, and inventory accounting. Experience with ERP systems and MS Office applications such as Excel, Word, and Outlook. Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and analytical skills. Excellent time management and attention to detail. Good written and interpersonal communication skills. Additional Skills & Qualifications 3-8 years of general ledger accounting experience preferred. Experience with financial statement analysis, cash applications, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger management. Familiarity with Paychex and payroll processing. Proficiency in Vlookup and reconciliation tasks. Work Environment This position is fully onsite in Allentown, PA, with work hours from 8 AM to 5 PM. There is flexibility in start times, with current team members starting as early as 6:30 AM.
